St. George Island Volunteer Fire Department (SGIVFD)

is a non-profit organization funded by

MSBU, citizen donations, and departmental fund raising activities.

 

Our fire / rescue service is 100% volunteer.

 

The SGIVFD facilities and vehicles are owned by the department and paid for by MSBU, donations, and fund raises.  To supplement the budget, we conduct fund raising activities.  We use funds to enhance safety, training, rescue and fire prevention missions, and operational effectiveness.

 

Please help us to continue our work by attending fund-raising events or send in your tax-deductible contribution.  Since we conduct all our own fund raising, we have no administration costs and every dollar you donate goes directly to our volunteer fire department.  This is also your chance to say thank your friends/neighbors who are always prepared to respond to your urgent call for help.
